1. How Do Partners Make Money?

One of three ways:
1) PCT's partners earn commission-based revenue on each and every item purchased thru their site. There is no minimum traffic level a partner must meet in order to qualify for revenue sharing. The average commission rate on goods purchased ranges from 5% for items like electronics and video games to 15% on products like CDs. PCT and its partners split the commission revenue 50-50, but partners get to keep 100% of banner ad revenue from pages featuring PCT's technology.

2) We automatically include your all of your affiliate codes into each price comparison. When your visitors PriceCompare, we insert your unique affiliate codes into the links. Unlike other programs, you receive 100% of the affiliate commissions directly from your storefront.

3) Partners can place one of our search boxes on their site that can either go to directly to PriceCompare.com sites or to their own custom designed page. PCT would then pay on a CPC basis on clickthroughs to the merchant.


2. Where is CD PriceCompare.com?

Although it has been removed from Pricecompare.com, CD PriceCompare.com and Music Pricecompare.com will return to our products categories shortly. We are very sorry for so much downtime.


3. What Do I Have to Do to Integrate PCT's Technology?

PCT's technology is surprisingly easy to integrate within the existing look and feel of your site. For maximum effectiveness, it is best to place a search box prominently on your front page, and have product suggestions such as Top 10 lists. Additionally, any pages that contain product reviews or news should have links directly to the price results for that very item. Visitors clicking on those links would go to a page on your site listing 8-10 of the lowest prices for that product in a clean price table. Getting the link for an individual product's price comparison is as simple as logging into your partner interface and copying the html link. If you ever have any problems, our top-flight tech staff will promptly answer any question.


4. How Long Does it Take to Set up?

Some level of integration can be achieved within an hour. More complete integration can take several hours or days, depending on the complexity of the partner's site. Either way, PCT's tech team will be there for you to move the process along smoothly.


5. When Will I See Results?

Partners see results in improved retention and visitor response almost immediately. Our partners have reported receiving many favorable e-mails from excited visitors thankful for the valuable new service. As for revenue, partners get their share of the commission revenue within 30 days of when PCT is paid by retailers. Commission payments are made either monthly or quarterly, depending on the merchant.


6. Why is a Database Superior to a Shopping Bot?

Shopping bots use a keyword search to perform in the search functions at retailers' web sites, and all matching URLs & prices are listed. It is then up to the consumer to identify which of the URLs actually contain the desired product and to determine which retailer offers the lowest price, out of a list of dozens or more prices. PCT, on the other hand, has exact URLs & prices at dozens of merchants for each product in our database. When someone does a search using our technology, we verify up front which specific title the user is looking for, and we show prices just for that item. In order to get cleaner results, PCT only lists the lowest price and competitive prices from brand-name merchants. Because the display of pricing with a database is more user-friendly and efficient, consumers click thru and purchase at a higher rate.
