Who we are and what we do.
PriceCompare Technologies, Inc (PCT) is a technology infrastructure company that has created
an innovative, private-label software package that allows consumers to compare prices
of goods both on the internet and on wireless devices. PCT's technology is seamlessly
integrated into content-driven websites and our partners begin to see the benefits
immediately:
- Partners enjoy increased retention and higher revenue;
- Visitors are able to compare prices and easily purchase a wide range of products;
- Our database technology yields higher click-thru and purchase rates.
Our beginnings. (1999)
Founded in 1999 PriceCompare.com started with what turned out to be it's
flagship site,
DVDPriceCompare.com.
The goal was to compare prices of online retailers to help users "Find the Lowest Price" on DVD's.
Still just a start-up. (2000)
In fall of 2000 we added
VHS tapes as a option,
and customers were able to pricecompare on portable devices (Handhelds, Cellphones, etc).
Progress. (2001)
By Febuary 2001 PriceCompare.com added three new categories:
Books,
Games and
Music. We Incorporated to become PCT,
moved to a bigger server, and started licensing our price comparison software.
